Updates from Meeker Town Hall

1. Update on Glenncrest Park

A. Seven loads of sand were delivered to the park for the new concrete contractor to spread out to level the ground.

B. Britches Ryerson has been chosen to do our new concrete parking lot. His crew will start putting forms in place next week. He said he will do it in 4 pours. The total parking lot measures 96’ x 82’. It will be striped off and include handicapped parking place.

C. A new 12’ x 21’ pavilion has been ordered to be here 1st of November. The pavilion will have electricity.

The pavilion will be available to rent for your all-day parties. This rental will reserve the pavilion for your group on your special day.

D. Once again special thanks to Van Eaton Concrete for sponsoring all 100 yards of concrete for the parking lot.

2. Update on Festival of Lights parade.

A. We had a meeting with Round Up Club members Dustin and Deseree Brown. They have chosen Connie Walton and Debbie Williams to orchestrate the X-mas parade this year.

Discussion about vendors, music and games along with lighting up the Homestead Park with X-mas displays and lots of lights. Everyone is welcome to put a display in the park!

B. The Round Up Club will still provide candy, apples and oranges for the children’s goody bag. Also included will be the folks at the nursing home.

C. The Town has replaced the light at the flagpole at Homestead and has made sure all the electrical outlets are in good shape. The park will receive more repairs before this event. More to come on this event.

3. Update on Chamber of Commerce

A. There is discussion on more lights for the Town.

B. Golf Tournament was cancelled due to inclement weather. Look for a reschedule.
