A Prague man who entered a blind guilty plea on a first degree manslaughter charge has been sentenced to state prison.A formal charge was filed March 2, 2023 in Lincoln County District Court against Joseph Resin Linnhuber. The charge is the result of a fatal traffic collision.

By Mike McCormick Staff Writer Lincoln County commissioners have approved a new contract for personnel services between the County’s E911 Trust Authority and the board of commissioners. The approval came during a special joint meeting with the 911 Trust Authority.

Ginny Myers Sain comes from a family of writers. Her mother is famed young adult (YA) novelist and former Chandler teacher Anna Myers. Her father was a poet. Her younger brother Ben, who still lives in Chandler, was the poet laureate of the state of Oklahoma.

Hearing set in sex abuse case

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for an Agra man facing two counts of child sexual abuse. John David Somers, Jr., 33, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Jan. 4 this year with the two counts.

A Lincoln County resident who waived his right to a jury trial and entered a blind plea of guilty on the day his trial was starting has been sentenced to prison. Brandon Matthew Tarpenning, 40, who deputies said resided in the Harrah area, was first charged in Lincoln County District Court on Dec.
