April Wellness Report

Every month, Wellness Dep. Rod Baker from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office releases the Lincoln County Recovery Report to keep residents informed of ongoing activities and programs to help with mental health recovery efforts in the county. The following is the April 2026 report.

Lincoln County students win CVEC awards

Four Lincoln County students received scholarships from the Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative’s (CVEC) Round Up Board for 2026, according to a press release from the cooperative.

Meeker announces valedictorians, salutatorians

Meeker High School has announced its valedictorians and salutatorians for the graduating Class of 2026. Kara Casteel, Aiden Hessman, Brooklyn Lynch, Mariah Doulett and Kylie Way have been named valedictorian, while Gage Danielewicz and Keagon Edmonds have been named salutatorians.

Appeals court issues final ruling on St. Cloud

The Court of Civil Appeals affirmed a decision made by the Lincoln County District Court to deny a temporary injunction on the demolition of two buildings known as the St. Cloud Hotel, according to court documents.

Davenport family arrested for neglect

For those who have lived in the area for the last 40 or so years, Lincoln County On-Stage (LCOS) has been a staple in the community. Many a person has stood on that stage or sat in the audience, enjoying “Annie,” “A Christmas Carol,” original productions and many more.

The 2026 Red Dirt Rivalry Disc Golf Tournament took place last Saturday (April 25) atThe Nest and EagleValley Disc Golf courses at Stroud Lake. The tournament was a PDGA-sanctioned event with over 100 players showing up to compete from all over.
The 2025 Kolache Festival Royalty and 2026 candidates were recognized on the Floor at the State Capitol on Tuesday in the run-up to the annual festival set to take place in Prague on May 2. The festival, which as been running for 70 years, honors the Czechoslovakian heritage of the town’s first settlers. It draws thousands of visitors with traditional food and music.
