Darlene Hixon was born to James “Jim” Leo Hixon and Carol Hicks on May 17, 1960, in Cushing, Okla. She died Monday, July 19, 2021, in Tulsa, Okla., at the age of 61 years. Darlene, formerly of Lincoln County, worked as a receptionist at a doctor’s office. She was preceded in death by her father.

Anna “Sue” Parks, 83, of Meeker, passed away at her home, Wednesday, July 21, 2021. Graveside services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Saturday, July 24, 2021, at the New Hope Cemetery of Meeker. Pastor Dave Price will officiate.

Geraldine “Gerri” Smith, long time resident of Chandler, Okla., passed away on July 20, 2021 at the age of 91. Gerri was born August 10, 1929 in Pauls Valley, Okla., to Wes and Mae (Ward) Pruitt. She married A.A.

Linda Jane (Buehner) Rhodes

Linda Jane (Buehner) Rhodes, 69, formerly of Chandler, was born to Frank Joseph and Matilda Mary (Gramc) Buehner on March 8, 1952, in Geneva, Ohio. She died Sunday, July 18, 2021, at her home on Grand Lake.

Mark Kevin Watkins

Mark Kevin Watkins was born October 27, 1961 in Shawnee, Okla. He entered his eternal home July 17, 2021 at the age of 59. Mark grew up in Meeker where he graduated from Meeker High School in 1979. He then attended Northwestern Oklahoma State University on a baseball scholarship.

ParaLee Louise Richardson

ParaLee Louise (Franklin) Richardson was born July 16, 1935, in Wellston and died Sunday, July 25, 2021, in Davenport. She was 86 years old. Richardson was a 1953 graduate of Chandler High School.

Marcelino Mickey Arvizu

Marcelino Mickey Arvizu was born August 21, 1983, in Stroud and died Sunday, July 25, 2021. He was 37 years old. Arvizu, a 2002 Stroud High School graduate, served in the Army/Army National Guard. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.

Mary Letta (Lamb) Hicks was born May 31, 1943, in Wichita Falls, Texas, and died Sunday, July 25, 2021. She was 78 years old. Hicks, a 1961 graduate of Tryon High School, was a homemaker and ran a home daycare.
