New guidelines at the Prague Library

Haynie Public Library, 1619 W. Main Street in Prague, has reopened and offers the following guidelines to patrons for using the library. To risk the spreading of coronavirus, masks are required and visitors must use hand sanitizer provided at entrances and exits.

The solution to tough splinters

Three weeks ago I went camping with a friend at Kaw Lake. We had new kayaks and wanted to test them out on the water. We walked up and down the shoreline scavenging the area looking for a cleared way to get to the water without having to walk through the briers and brush.

Thank you to everyone who came out and supported Town Talk’s second Farmer’s Market this past Saturday. Everyone had a great time and I saw lots of people leaving with their arms loaded. Both Vivian Henshaw and Chelsea Weeks told me laughingly, “I had a great time but spent too much money.

Updates from Meeker Town Hall

The Soil samples at Meeker Lake, Quapaw 15 Project, have been taken by the Terracon Group. Now the samples will be taken to their laboratory & tested for donor soil quality and compaction ratio. We are still waiting for the camera crew to run their camera up the 24” water pipe for inspection.

Anticipating Father’s Day

I look forward to Father’s Day that is coming up this Sunday, June 21. Last year I was a little more excited than in some prior years. It’s an honor to be the father of such a sweet, amazing, young woman, as our daughter Meghan is.
