Ada woman to stand trial

An Ada woman has been bound over to stand trial on amended charges in connection with a fatal traffic collision that killed a Prague man about 2½ years ago.

Lincoln County commissioners are moving a little closer to having a new jail addition and renovation in place, although it’s still months away. During a special meeting in late February, they voted to give the go ahead for final design plans for the jail expansion and renovation.

Hearing set for Agra man

A preliminary hearing has been scheduled for an Agra man facing three felonies with minors. Kenneth Taylor Simpson, 21, was formally charged on Oct. 24, 2022 in Lincoln County District Court with lewd acts to a child under 16, sodomy of a child under 16 and second degree rape.

Trial set in neglect case

A Lincoln County resident facing a total of two felonies and two misdemeanors in two separate cases has been ordered to stand trial. Brandon Matthew Tarpenning, 40, who deputies say resides in the Harrah area, was first charged in Lincoln County District Court on Dec. 30, 2022 with child neglect.

The other evening as I was coming home from a meeting, I drove by a Little League baseball game. It was good to see all the young kids playing ball and lots of parents gathered around cheering for their team.
