The OKC Patriots jumped to an 18-0 halftime lead and tarnished NRC’s homecoming, 27-6. Despite the loss, Cougars head coach Jason Murray said the game marked improvement by his squad, which is playing an independent schedule in its first season of varsity football. “We played better,” he said.

Four in a row for Davenport

Carson Funk hit Casey Harelson for a 39-yard touchdown pass with 1:21 left to play, leading Davenport to a 58-50 win over Strother in a battle of unbeaten teams Friday night. Campbell Miller intercepted a Strother pass with 48 ticks left in the game, clinching the victory for the Bulldogs.

Kellyville clips Meeker, 60-26

Kellyville’s Ponies shut out Meeker in the second half and turned a twotouchdown lead into a 60- 26 thumping in the district opener for both teams. The loss puts Meeker at 2-2 going into Friday night’s rivalry match with Prague.

NOAH scored early and often Friday night, handing North Rock Creek its fifth loss of the season, 68-0.
