Chandler’s girls peeled off four straight wins and moved to No. 18 in the Class 3A rankings.
The Lady Lions had their win streak snapped by No. 13 Prague, 28-23, Monday night in the rescheduled finals of the Ripley tournament. Chandler hosted Prague Tuesday night.

Wellston’s boys won a 51-50 thriller against Oilton in the first round of the Davenport Hardwood Classic, ran afoul of Class B No. 2 Paden in the semifinals, then beat Depew, 57-44, in the third-place game.

Six of the Lincoln County schools will be playing next week in tournaments just across the county line. Chandler, Stroud, Meeker and Prague will be in the 66 Conference Tournament at McLoud while Wellston and Davenport will play in the Pott County Invitational at North Rock Creek.

At The Chesapeake Arena
The Lady Lions withstood a late surge by McLoud and held on for a 43-35 win Saturday at the Chesapeake Arena in OKC.
In the boys’ game, McLoud came from behind in the second half to win, 38-30.
