Doolen re-elected chair of commissioners

Lincoln County commissioners here week re-appointed Lee Doolen as chairman of the Board of County Commissioners for another year. They also re-appointed Marlon Miller as vice chairman.Doolen, who is District 3 commissioner, has served as chairman for several years.

Hearing delayed for convicted felon

A defendant whose case began more than three years ago following his arrest by Highway Patrol troopers on the Turner Turnpike has been continued until later this month.Charles Michael Brownlee, 39, was formally charged in Lincoln County District Court on Nov.

Chandler woman prelim hearing rescheduled

A preliminary hearing has been rescheduled again for a Chandler woman facing a felony and two misdemeanors. A Chandler man facing the same charges, who has pleaded innocent, has waived a jury trial and asked for a bench trial.

OK Hall of Fame offers scholarships, tuition

The Oklahoma Hall of Fame has opened registration for its Oklahoma Scholarship Competition to high schoolers across the state. The competition has more than $770,000 available in cash scholarships and tuition grants, according to a press release from the Oklahoma Hall of Fame.
