Charges in assault

Chandler played up two classes and took on one of the state’s blueblood programs Friday to close out the nondistrict portion of its season.The Lions scheduled the game against 17-time state champion Clinton as a measuring stick and, even though they lost, 21-0, head coach Jack Gray like what he saw.

Davenport’s Bulldogs came so close to winning its first game of the season last week, but fell to Alex 2827, after being on the Longhorns’ one-yard line late in the game.The Bulldogs must now get ready in a hurry as they host Depew in a Thursday night contest.
