After 87 years of a life well lived, John (Johnny) Daniel Davis of Meeker, Oklahoma died April 4, 2023, at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Shawnee, Oklahoma from a sudden illness. He was born January 15, 1936, in Lincoln County, Oklahoma, to Grady Lee Davis and Amy Jannie (Smith) Davis.

Jonathan Charles Levy

Jonathan Charles Levy was born June 22, 1970 in LaMesa, California to Dana and Mary (Foster) Levy. He passed away in Chandler, Oklahoma April 3, 2023 at the age of 52. Jon grew up in Davenport where he graduated with the Davenport High School class of 1988.

Betty Jo Stanka, 95, passed away early Monday morning, April 3, 2023, surrounded by her family in Carney, Oklahoma. Betty Jo was born on New Years Day, January 1, 1928, in Corwin, Kansas to Roy F. and Grace (Haxton) Clark. She graduated from Rocky K-12 school in Rocky, Oklahoma.

Wellston pair to stand trial

A jury trial date has been scheduled for a Wellston attorney and her reported accomplice on drug related charges and a firearms count. A reported accomplice accused of five drug related and firearms counts, also has been bound over to stand trial as well.
