Pat and I kept our grandson overnight last week to give our daughter Meghan and her husband Terry an opportunity to celebrate their wedding anniversary. They were married six years ago in early December but hadn’t been able to celebrate their anniversary.

Pre-preliminary hearings have been set for a Chandler man facing multiple felonies in three separate cases. Christopher Allen Michael Hyde, 20, was charged Nov. 10 in Lincoln County District Court with knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property.

Lincoln County commissioners this week voted to divvy up equally the apportionment ratio of County Improvement Road and Bridge funds. With their vote, they each will receive 33 and a third percent of the funds.

Oklahoma’s wild hog population is expanding, including in Lincoln and Pottawatomie Counties, two state game wardens and the state director for USDA Wildlife and the Oklahoma Department of Food and Forestry say.

State improves drainage along Bell Cow Creek

A drainage improvement project along SH 18 south of Chandler should be completed by the end of this week, an Oklahoma Department of Transportation official said. Jerry Hacker is superintendent of the Lincoln County Maintenance Division based in Chandler.

Randy Roy Smith, a life-long resident of Meeker, Okla., passed away on December 22, 2021, one day after his 63rd birthday in Shawnee, Okla. Randy was born on December 21, 1958, in Lakewood, Calif., to Jack and Joyce Emily (Keel) Smith.
