Despite COVID-19, a few area high school teams were able to get in extra games over the holiday break. North Rock Creek’s No. 15 boys team picked up a couple of wins, including 46-44 win over Crooked Oak on a lastsecond bucket by Diego Garcia.

Betty Louise Sheets of Meeker was born June 16, 1952, in Oklahoma City. She died Friday, December 25, 2020, at the age of 68 years. Sheets, the daughter of Marshall Lee and Nelly Letha (Shepherd) Walker, married Jim Sheets on November 16, 2019. She was a singer.
