Lincoln County commissioners this week appointed a new County Court Clerk to fill the position that longtime Court Clerk Cindy Kirby is stepping down from after 21 years.On Monday of this week, commissioners unanimously appointed Kirby’s first deputy Kristie Hammock to succeed Kirby.

The Metro Christian Patriots rolled into Chandler ranked No. 2 in the state last week, and showed why they deserve that ranking.The Patriots took a 14-0 lead in the first period and controlled much of the game.

The Stroud Tigers finished up the first half of their regular season on a roll, beating Meeker, 54-8, Friday night and establishing themselves as the team to beat in District 2A-II-1.The Tigers are 2-0 in district now and 4-1 for the season.Meeker stands at 1-4 for the year and 0-2 in league play.
