Chandler’s Board of Education Monday night approved the contract for Superintendent Melody Toma for this year and next year.

Toma said the board agreed to maintain her current contract. She added that board members last year approved a three-year contract for her and she’s in the middle of that contract.

Board members also agreed to hire Karis Schevetto as a Classroom Aide/Para Professional. Toma explained Schevetto will work with Pre-K students.

In other business, the board:

Approved the district mileage reimbursement rate for the calendar year 2021 at .56 per mile.

Agreed to surplus a list of East Side library books.

Approved three sets of Park Road lockers as surplus.

Approved a lease agreement for the 83.51 acres to the highest bidder, Robert Stieber.

Toma said the board also approved a number of policies and goals for the district, which it does each year.
