The Annual Pumpkin Festival hosted by the Meeker Growth and Development was a huge success.

The Festival is held annually on the first Sat. of Oct. this year’s date was Oct. 3. The Festival kicked off with a large and well orchestrated parade of over 50 entries thanks to the great efforts by Connie Walton and Debbie Williams.

After the parade the car entries and additional cars help lined the streets with 35 entries for the car show, also orchestrated by Connie and Debbie.

There were over 20 vendors plus participation from a local bank and church as well as Meeker Band Boosters, Meeker Elementary PTO and high school classes.

This year there were 23 entries in the Pumpkin Royalty pageant, raising over $1,500.00. Terri Hall donated her time and knowledge to aid in making the pageant a huge success.

The Junkin Punkin Booth hosted by MGDA allowed for 70+ uniquely decorated pumpkins to be enjoyed by individuals for months to come.

Festival goers enjoyed live music throughout the day, 12 teams enjoyed a friendly cornhole tournament while being entertained in close proximity to the entertainment trailer.

The Meeker Growth and Development (Vonda Langille, Sandi Hemingway, Aaron Head, Teresa Head and Melissa Way) would like to say a “Big Thank You” to all help make this festival a success and look forward to the 2021 Pumpkin Fest.
