Susan Ann Rolston, 65, passed away on Monday, March 31, 2025, in Shawnee, Oklahoma.
Susan was born on December 12, 1959, in San Jose, California to Harold and Gloria Rolston. She grew up in Evergreen, Colorado, graduating from Evergreen High School in 1978. She later relocated to New Mexico and lived in Florida for some time beforemovingbacktoNew Mexico, where her daughters, Tiffany andTara, were born and raised. In 2004, she relocated to Chandler, Oklahoma. While in Chandler, she helped distribute food with Straight Street Ministries and served in the clothes closet at Chandler Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed taking care of her lawn and planting her flower beds. She turned this hobby into a side business where she helped her Church and the citizens of Chandler with their lawns and flowers as well. Susan was a unique woman and had a knack for turning trash into treasure. She loved her dog, Keta, just as much as she loved anyone else.
Susan was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Gloria Rolston; her daughter, Tara LaAnne Hickerson; and a brother, Bob Rolston.
Susan is survived by a daughter, Tiffany Hickerson; two sisters, Peggy Rolston, and Penny Rolston; grandchildren, Jason Aaron, Justin Newsom, Sydney Newsom, and Dakota Newsom; a great-grandson on the way, Dutton Newsom; one nephew; four nieces; as well as host of other family members and friends. In lieu of flowers, Susan’s family requests that you plant a flower, plant, or tree in remembrance of her.
