A defendant from Prague who earlier took a blind plea before a Lincoln County District Judge on multiple counts of child sexual abuse faces sentencing at 1:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 16.
Jonathan David Moran was charged with nine counts and took the plea rather than go to trial in October.
Moran was charged with seven counts of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12. He also faced a charge of child abuse by injury–giving a child methamphetamine and a count of child neglect by exposing three other children to methamphetamine, Neal Davis, spokesman for the District Attorney said.
Moran appeared before District Judge Cindy Ash-wood in October. She had set sentencing for Moran for Nov. 19.
However, Davis said recently that Moran had decided to withdraw his blind plea and a hearing was set on that motion for last Thursday, Dec. 5.
But Davis said last week that Moran apparently changed his mind again and this time to not withdraw his plea. He faces sentencing this coming Monday before Judge Ashwood.
