The Chandler High School band, pictured above, won Outstanding Percussion at the Ironhead Invitational Marching Festival in Eufala on Sep. 30, along with placing sixth overall in the finals.
They placed first and won Outstanding Color Guard and Percussion for 3A Maroon in the preliminaries. Prague High School’s marching band also competed at the invitational. They placed 10th overall in the finals and won Outstanding Drum Major and third for 3A Maroon in the prelims.
North Rock Creek also competed at ECU’s Tigerpalooza Marching Festival this week. The band earned second place in the preliminary and Outstanding Color Guard in
4A competition.
McLoud High School’s band competed in the Pauls Valley Marching Band Championship. While they didn’t place, the band scored 157 in the Parade Competition and
254 in the Field Competition.
