Local high school football teams got their first day of full-pad practices on Friday and got in some of their traditional scrimmages over the weekend. Carson Clagg, running with the ball above, and the Chandler Lions scrimmaged Saturday afternoon, Meeker held its Black and White scrimmage Saturday evening. McLoud and Prague worked theirs in on Friday. The area teams are back in action this week for scrimmages with other teams. Chandler heads to McLoud on Thursday for a 6 p.m. scrimmage with the Redskins and Crooked Oak; North Rock Creek goes to Prague at 6 p.m. Thursday; Meeker is at Luther on Friday, Davenport goes to Velma-Alma; Stroud hosts Pawnee and Cashion on Friday and Wellston will be at Olive.
