Merry Christmas to all you loyal readers of the Stroud American. We appreciate you continuing to support our local small town newspaper. Being the “old-fashion” person I am, I believe we are truly blessed to still receive not only a weekly newspaper but also have a hard copy of the news. I personally prefer it to digital news. Remember, it makes a great gift for those hard to buy people on your Christmas or birthday lists. We will all remember the year 2020
We will all remember the year 2020 because the pandemic has changed all of our lives. I will also remember 2020 for the many things Town Talk was able to accomplish for our community with the help of you, our local residents, and so many alums from near and far. We look forward to continuing our volunteer work in the coming year.
With the days getting colder, much of our outside work will be put on hold until the spring. We will continue to work behind the scenes on fundraising for our miniature golf course and bugle boy projects.

Thank you for supporting our local merchants. I received my monthly Oklahoma Today Magazine and though I haven’t had time to read it, I did notice the cover headline said “Shop Local.” The push is great for us to keep our monies right here in Oklahoma - local, county and state. As always, let’s remember to do just that, shop and dine local....................first.
