Joyce Mae Place

Joyce Mae (Lewis) Place of Stroud was born June 28, 1954, in Chandler. She died Tuesday, November 10, 2020, in Stroud at the age of 66 years.

Place, the daughter of Troy and Mertle (Harding) Lewis, married Jerry Dewayne Place Sr. on October 16, 1972, in Davenport.

She worked for Quickset and McDonalds.

Her parents, one greatgrandson and numerous brothers and sisters preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of the home; her daughter Aimee Bear and son Jerry D. Place Jr.; four grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; her brothers Bill Lewis and James Lewis; three sisters, Chloe Wilson, Martha Berry and Elizabeth Miller; and other family and friends.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, November 17, 2020, in the chapel of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, which handled the final arrangements. Pastor James Bond officiated.
