To The Editor:
I was so delighted to see on the front page of my June 18th Lincoln County News that “Chandler Walks in Unity.” What a wonderful demonstration of the spirit of equality to which our nation seems to be waking.
When I was a student in the Chandler School System (graduating in 1950) everything was completely white and persons of color were students at the Douglass School System. Unfortunately, we never thought anything about that.
To know that we’re all equal and all part of the human race is a break-through challenge to our furtherance of “Black Lives Matter.”
May the good spirit of unity continue forever.
