Bench warrant issued after no-show

A $50,000 bench warrant has been issued for an Agra man who failed to show up for his arraignment on charges of kidnapping and two other felonies. After being called three times in open court, Terry Lee Ludtke, 63, failed to show up.

Lincoln County competitors head to Vegas

According to Wellston freshman Audrey Fish, roping is all about the adrenaline. “You just have to let your body do the work because it knows how to do it, and you can’t think,” she explained while curled up in one of the small chairs of her mother’s classroom at Wellston Elementary School.

Lincoln County Commissioners meeting

Lincoln County commissioners this week agreed to the details and terms and signed a contract that will allow Reverence Film, LLC, to film parts of its movie at the Lincoln County Courthouse and Sheriff’s Office.

Chandler woman pleads guilty, handed four deferred sentences

A Chandler woman has pleaded guilty to several felony charges, among them two for assault and battery upon a police officer, and has been handed deferred terms on each. Cheryl Manning, 46, was formally charged in Lincoln County District on Oct.

Prague man shot in fight with deputies

A Pottawatomie County deputy fatally shot a Prague area resident after he and other deputies responded to a domestic violence disturbance call last weekend. Pottawatomie County Sheriff Mike Booth said that deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call at 8010 Sherman Road around 8:40 p.m.

Trial set in Meeker drug case

A jury trial has been scheduled for a Meeker man who failed twice within a week to show up for his arraignment. A formal felony charge was filed in Lincoln County District Court Sep. 23, 2022 against John Henry Hagar, 34.

Dale school board rehires superintendent

Dale Board of Education members this week rehired the superintendent and heard reports from the three principals. Following an executive session that lasted about 30 minutes, they returned to open meeting and voted to extend the contract of Supt. Will Jones for the 20242025 school year.

Honor choirs, All-State for county singers

Music programs in Lincoln County are hitting those high notes as a number of students have secured spots on honor choirs and All-State choruses in the state. Both Chandler and Stroud schools saw a number of students land these coveted spots.
