Stroud man pleads in child neglect case

One of two people from Stroud facing child neglect charges has pleaded guilty as the result of a plea bargain and drawn a 10-year sentence with all but the first 90 days suspended. The other has waived further hearings in the case.

Mia Callegan and Kalee Peery have been named the October Lions of the Month by the Lions Club. Mia Callegan is the daughter of Josh and Jessie Floyd. She plans to attend Oklahoma State University after graduating to pursue a degree in statistics and mathematics.

Warrant issued

A$20,000 bench warrant has been issued for the arrest of a Chandler resident after charges were filed for his allegedly shooting at another man. A formal felony charge of assault with a dangerous weapon was filed in Lincoln County District County District Court Oct.

Two seats up on Chandler board

Chandler’s Board of Education members this week approved the 2024 Annual School Board Election resolution and approved several policy revisions. School Supt. Scott Baade pointed out two seats are up in the annual school election. Office No.
