Frisbies to stand trial

The Assistant Police Chief of Prague and his wife who are facing a total of 43 felony charges between them related to child sexual and physical abuse have pleaded innocent to the counts.Earlier this year they were bound over to stand trial.

The Lincoln County Fall Fair took place last week, running from Aug. 20 to Aug. 23, at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds.It brought together participants from all over the county to show everything from rabbits and poultry to cattle, goats, sheep, and pigs.

St. Cloud case on appeal to Oklahoma Supreme Court

A case seeking a preliminary injunction on the demolition of the St. Cloud buildings has been appealed, according to court documents. The Petition of Error was filed on July 22, with an amended Petition of Error filed on Aug. 8. It is now waiting for a decision from the Oklahoma Supreme Court.

CVEC library donation

Through the Sharing Success Program done in cooperation with CoBank, Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative (CVEC) donated $2,500 to the Hayne Public Library in Prague.

Tips from the Poison Center

The Oklahoma Poison Center released safety tips for students heading back to school. In a press release sent out on Aug. 22, the center reminded parents, teachers, and caregivers that many everyday school items can have poison risks if they aren’t handled or stored properly.

By Mike McCormick Staff Writer A woman from from Edmond, charged with five felonies and who has each pleaded innocent to the charges has been set for the felony call docket in September.An Edmond man also facing the same five charges is scheduled for jury trial in September.

Three of five defendants arrested and charged following a robbery at a grow house operation in January have entered guilty blind pleas and are awaiting sentencing.The other two charged at the same time have entered blind guilty pleas and are awaiting sentencing also.
