Commissioners approve contract, award bid for fair board reroof

Lincoln County commissioners this week approved a contract with the 911 Trust Authority Board and they also awarded a bid for the Lincoln County Fair Board reroof.On the bid for the reroof, commissioners awarded that to Commercial Roof Solutions for $518,437.

Meeker FFA gets $30K grant

The Meeker FFA Chapter has been awarded two grants totaling $30,000 from the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education, also known as Oklahoma CareerTech. Funded by the Oklahoma State Lottery, the grants will provide a boost to the school’s agricultural mechanics program.

UCO honor rolls

The University of Central Oklahoma (UCO) has released its spring 2025 honor roll lists, which include students from Lincoln County.A total of 1,692 students were named to the President’s Honor Roll for achieving a 4.0 grade point average (GPA) during the semester, according to UCO.

Guilty plea in embezzlement

A Meeker man charged in 2024 with two counts of embezzlement has withdrawn his previous plea of innocent and entered guilty pleas.

Child sex case goes to trial

A man from Harrah has been bound over to stand trial on three child-related sex crimes and his arraignment has been set.He was bound over on three counts of lewd acts with a child under 16. His arraignment is scheduled for 9 a.m. Aug. 19, 2025.
