Chandler film wins awards

There was more than the 25th anniversary to celebrate at this year’s deadCenter Film Festival in Oklahoma City. Two men with connections to Lincoln and Pottawatomie counties received awards.

Arrest made in Embezzlement

AChandlerwomanhas been arrested for allegedly embezzling $170,000 from a Meeker business and she was transported to the Lincoln County Jail in Chandler.Meeker Assistant Police Chief Scott Wilson identified the woman as Lesa Manning, 64.

There was only way to describe the community room at the Chandler Public Library on June 2.Organized chaos. Four long tables were full of children, ranging in age from kindergarten to older elementary. A handful of parents stood chatting near the tables while others sat in chairs along the wall.

A Stroud man previously convicted of two felonies, among them one just two months ago, faces a new felony and misdemeanor.

Stroud park to recieve Gold Star Memorial

A dedication ceremony will be held on June 14 in Stroud for a Gold Star Memorial marker in Ed Smalley Centennial Park next to the Rock Cafe.The ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. on Flag Day.
