Thanksgiving

Last week I wrote that my wife Pat and I were looking forward and really excited about Thanksgiving because our family was gathering and that included our daughter Meghan, her husband Terry and their son Liam, (our grandson).Well, Thanksgiving Day was as delightful as we had hoped.

Last week my good friend Steve Buoy and I journeyed out to western Oklahoma and enjoyed a fall turkey and quail hunt.While the quail season that began Nov. 9 continues to Feb. 15, 2025, the fall gun turkey season’s last day is Friday. Nov. 22.

Stroud’s Tree Lighting Ceremony is an event for the whole family to enjoy. It will take place this Saturday, November 16th, at 6:00 p.m. in Ed. Smalley Centennial Park.The full event will last from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Vendors and food trucks will be set up along Main Street.
