1. Update on “Quapaw 15 Project “Meeker Lake” A. COVID 19 has all the offices in OKC closed that we have been talking to get information from. We know the surveying is completed and now we wait for them to put the study together.

Christmas Day 2020 is tomorrow. This is the time to be merry, it’s the time to be jolly. It’s also the time to be spiritual, as local pastors frequently remind us is the reason for the season. This calendar year with the COVID Pandemic and all won’t be forgotten by most people on earth today.

As a member of a local civic club and another nonprofit organization, one of my volunteer commitments each year is ringing the Red Kettle Bell during the holiday season. I’ve been a member of the Shawnee Rotary Club a number of years.

Happenings at Prairie Pointe

Singer, songwriter and comedian Danny Miller of Meeker will perform at Prairie Pointe outside under the portico this Thursday at 4:00 PM. It’s supposed to be a beautiful warm day and we look forward to seeing Danny again. He always lifts our spirits and gives us a giggle.
