When you walk out of the tunnel and onto the floor of the OG&E Coliseum in Oklahoma City, your first reaction is: Woah! This is a seriously nice venue.It’s bright and shiny and still has that new venue smell. A definite upgrade over The Big House that it replaced.

McLoud’s girls won their second consecutive wrestling state championship over the weekend and picked up three individual state titles.Remy Whitney won at 100 pounds, Carli Sisco repeated at 105 pounds and Kendra Perrien won at 145.

Area basketball teams had a good week in the playoff as Chandler, McLoud, North Rock, Meeker, Stroud and Dale all brought home district championship hardware.Wellston’s boys and girls both dropped out of the winners’ brackets, but continue this week in the Class A area tournament.
