Fowble and Haley are December Lions

Chandler High School seniors Dalton Fowble and Delaney Haley have been named December Lions of the Month by the Lion’s Club. Dalton Fowble, the son of Eric and Virginia Fowble, maintains a 3.95 grade point average while taking concurrent college classes in addition to regular coursework.

Chandler’s season ended Friday night as the Marlow Outlaws showed why they’re undefeated and headed for the state quarterfinals. After Chandler scored on a long drive on its opening possession, the Outlaws put up 38 unanswered points and gradually pulled away, taking a 38-7 victory.

Davenport keeps rolling

Just needing the first half, the Davenport Bulldogs cruised by Keota last Friday night in the second round of the Class B playoffs. The contest was over at halftime. With the win, they are headed to a quarterfinals clash with Balko on the road Friday evening.

Morrison put up 36 points in the middle two periods and ended Stroud’s season with a 42-8 win Friday night in the second round of the playoffs. The Tigers closed out with a 6-6 record and a remarkable turn-around.

Chandler grabbed the No. 2 spot in District 2A-2 and a home game in the first playoffs by overwhelming short-handed Prague 47-14 Friday night. The Lions’ win, along with wins by Crossings Christian and Jones, left those three teams tied with 6-1 district records.
