Final record 6-6
Morrison put up 36 points in the middle two periods and ended Stroud’s season with a 42-8 win Friday night in the second round of the playoffs.
The Tigers closed out with a 6-6 record and a remarkable turn-around.
The Tigers played their first three games against three Class 2A teams - Meeker, Chandler and Prague - and lost them by a combined score of 141-30.
But they stayed the course and went on a four-game winning streak that included back-to-back shutouts and finished third in their district.
They dispatched Warner, 18-0, in the first round of the playoffs to advance to the game against Morrison.
Stroud got its score Friday night on a 20-yard pass from Dylan Baker to Dylan Collins.
The game was the last in their careers for five seniors on Stroud’s roster-Collins, Isaiah Campbell, Amariyae Morris, Bryce Hughey and Easton Stewart.
