Chandler High School coach Bryan Herring was inducted into the Oklahoma Slow-Pitch Coaches Association Hall of Fame prior to the All-State Game Saturday.A graduate of Chandler, Herring has been Chandler’s head slowpitch coach since 2011.

Construction of a new entrance to North Rock Creek School off of SH 18 should start sometime this month, District 1 Pottawatomie County Commissioner Melissa Dennis says.Dennis said she is waiting on a crop to be cut before she begins construction.

Lincoln County gets $150K grant

Lincoln County was one of 71 cities, counties, school districts and public trusts to be awarded an opioid abatement grant to help address Oklahoma’s opioid crisis, according to the Oklahoma attorney general’s office.The county received $150,000 and is one of 14 counties awarded the grant.

Librarian to retire
