Cory honored at House

Rep. Kevin Wallace, R-Wellston, on March 20 welcomed Chandler resident Danielle Cory to serve as nurse of the day for the Oklahoma House of Representatives.

Cory is a registered nurse who holds a bachelor of science in nursing and is a doctor of nursing practice and family nurse practitioner student at Baylor. She currently serves as the RN-Care Manager at Crouch Family Medicine.

Before serving as nurse of the day, Cory had the opportunity to sit down with Rep. Wallace and Sen. Grant Green, R-Wellston, to discuss the need to improve rural healthcare. Cory is very passionate about serving her community and state. She follows and enjoys health care policy and appreciated the opportunity to visit the Capitol to be more engaged. She has a passion to help improve access to rural care, improve health equality for rural communities, and reduce health disparities. She is a firm believer in evidence-based research and evidence-based practice to provide optimal patient centered care.

Wallace said it was a pleasure to welcome Cory to the House and to visit with her about the health care needs of residents in the state’s rural communities. He issued a citation in her honor and extended her the privileges of the floor during her day of service.
