Lincoln County commissioners this week opened bids on the construction of the OSU Extension Building and approved submitting the budget request to the budget maker.Thirteen different companies submitted bids on the building project.

Davenport’s Bulldogs came so close to winning its first game of the season last week, but fell to Alex 2827, after being on the Longhorns’ one-yard line late in the game.The Bulldogs must now get ready in a hurry as they host Depew in a Thursday night contest.

Chandler scored early and late Friday night, made some key defensive adjustments and beat Class 3A Lone Grove, 20-17.It evened Chandler’s record at 1-1 and sets up a road trip to Class 4A Clinton this week.

Stroud went 97 yards on three plays in the fourth quarter for the winning score and beat Chandler, 21-14, Friday night.The victory snapped a four-year winning streak by the Lions in the ancient rivalry.
