Grandma Blansett used to have a red-and-white Coleman water jug on the top shelf of her kitchen cabinet. This was a nice jug, probably a twogallon model with a wide lid that screwed into the top and a spigot at the bottom.

Stroud falls at Colcord

Stroud got out to a 14-0 lead in the first half, but fell to Colcord in the first round of the Class A playoffs. Blake Parrick hit Dylan Collins on a 6-yard scoring pass early in the second quarter, putting Stroud up 6-0, and found him again just before halftime for a 14-yard touchdown.

Chandler dominated its first-round playoff game against Alva Friday night, building a 21-6 lead in the first quarter and winning, 49-19.

Randall runs to gold

After winning his cross-country regional by about 45 seconds, Riley Randall checked the times of the winners at the other two regionals in the state. He’d had to miss the 66 Conference meet and another meet due to a quarantine from COVID-19 exposure and he wanted to see how his time compared.

Lions run past Prague

The game was less then three minutes old when Kaden Jones sliced through the line and ran 35 yards for a touchdown to give Chandler a 7-0 lead against Prague. It was a lead the Lions never relinquished, and the play became a blueprint for the game.
