Davenport announces valedictorian, salutatorian

Davenport High School has announced the valedictorian and salutatorians of the graduating Class of 2026. The valedictorian is Landry Miller, while the salutatorians are Kyle Fox and Helen Orr.Landy Miller, Valedictorian Landry Renee Miller is the daughter of Troy and Kelly Miller.

State Senate passes bill on data center protections

A bill that would put in place protections from higher utility prices and instill more transparency around data centers has passed the Oklahoma State Senate, according to a press release from the Senate.

The last day to register to vote for the June 16 State and County Primary Election is May 22, Lincoln County Election Board Secretary Dena Jo Bromley said.Bromley said that persons who are United States citizens, residents of Oklahoma, and at least 17.

Area track teams had a strong showing at Saturday’s regional meets.The Stroud girls won their Class 2A regional and a total of 38 athletes from across the area qualified for state in individual events and 20 relay teams qualified.
