The Lincoln County Commissioners during a special meeting last week, approved closing out the documents and finalizing a $150,000 CDBG grant for Jacktown Fire Department.
Paul Simpson is Rural Fire Coordinator with the Central Oklahoma Economic Development District (COEDD). He said with the grant the department was able to purchase two brush rigs, two Ford 450 cab and chassis with 400-gallon skid units.
Lincoln County Clerk Alicia Wagnon said commissioners also authorized final payment for administrative services in the amount of $8,460 to COEDD.
Wagnon said the commissioners agreed to enter into a interlocal agreement with the Town of Meeker.
“A water line washed out during flooding and the agreement allows District 3 County County Commissioner and Chairman Lee Doolen to provide equipment to cover up the line that was washed out,” she said.
