Glen Britton of Agra was born October 22, 1935, in Avery, Okla. He died Monday, December 23, 2019, at the age of 84 years.
Britton, the son of John Vernon and Eula Glendola (Byers) Britton, married Sherlie Romine on April 12, 1959, in Agra.
He served in the United States Army and worked in construction. He served as a mayor in Agra and attended Church of the Firstborn in Perkins, Okla.
Preceding him in death were his parents; his wife; one daughter, Jaunita DeBase; and his siblings, Billy Wayne Britton, Norma Jean Lynch and Mary Katherine Garcia.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Vernon and Kristina Britton of Agra; his son-in-law, Paul DeBase of Agra; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses, Lloyd and Sheila Romine, Darrell and Rickie Romine, Lovis Seno, and Pamela and Ralph Hoover, all of Stillwater, Okla., Karla and James Phipps of Duncan, Okla., and Patricia Payne of Cleveland, Okla.; and other family and friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, December 27, 2019, at General Assembly and Church of the Firstborn in Perkins with burial following at Parkland Cemetery in Parkland, Okla. Arrangements were under the direction of Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, Okla.
