Richard Lee Stewart was born August 3, 1955, in Seattle, Washington, to Ruth Barrow-Stewart and Jake H Stewart. His battle with ALS ended on August 1, 2026, surrounded by all of his children and grandchildren, at the age of 70.
AftergraduatingfromWoodwardHighSchoolin 1974, Richard married Carolyn Forrest, and three children were born. In 1995, he met the love of his life, Tammy, and welcomed her two children into his life.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother. He is survived by his father, his wife, five children, 10 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, two sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was much loved by his family, his friends and all that knew him. He will be greatly missed. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 8, 2026, at Lehman Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
