Graveside services will be held for Julius “Max” Hudson, at 11 a.m., today, December 31, 2020, at Blackburn Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Home in Shawnee. Family members ask that attendees wear a mask.
Hudson was born July 29, 1925, near Vinita, Okla., and died Saturday, December 26, 2020, at the age of 95 years.
The son of Clyde and Katie Ann Hudson, he married Evelyn Brown on July 1, 1960.
He served in the United States Navy and earned a degree in diesel engineering at Oklahoma A&M. He worked at the U.S. Post Office and BancFirst in Shawnee, Okla., and was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Max was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; nine siblings; and two sons, Gary and Johnny.
Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Dorraine Hudson of Oklahoma City; his daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Brian Pierson of Bethel Acres, Okla.; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; his sister, Cathy Taylor of Star City, Ark.; and other relatives and friends.
