Jerry Dean Newcomb was born May 26, 1934, in Ringling, Okla., and died Friday, November 1, 2019, at his home in Chandler. He was 85 years old.
Newcomb, the son of Benjamin and Rosa (Ashe) Newcomb, married Jodella (Sirmons) in 1951. Following her death, he married Elma Ivey.
He served in the United States Army in Korea and retired as a patrolman for the California Highway Patrol.
Preceding him in death were his parents, both wives and 12 siblings.
Survivors include three children and their spouses, Terry and Celeste New-comb of Broken Arrow, Okla., Ben and Peanut Newcomb of Chandler, and Larry Newcomb of Lindsey, Calif.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and other family and friends.
Services were held Tuesday, November 5, 2019, at Meeker Assembly of God with burial following at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler. Arrangements were under the direction of Walker Funeral Service in Shawnee, Okla.
