Sign-ups are underway and will continue through May 28 for the Summer Reading Program at Chandler Public Library, 1021 S. Manvel. The program will be on a much smaller scale this year for children five years old and under. Each age group will attend their own program.
Each program will be 10-11 a.m. on Tuesdays. Scheduled dates are 0-2 year olds, June 1; 3-year-olds, June 8; 4-year-olds, June 15; and 5-year-olds, June 22.
Children will be motivated to read or be read to with the theme “Tails and Tales.” Registration is required as no more than 10 children per program will be able to attend and parents will need to stay with their children. No snacks will be served.
Children enrolled for the in-library programs will be assigned a mailbox and will receive weekly activities and incentives during the month of July.
An end of summer party for children who attended earlier programs and their families will be 2-3:30 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 3, at Tilghman Park.
