Members of the Alpha Iota Chapter of the Delta Kappa Gamma International Association attended the Oklahoma State Organization Convention June 6 -7, 2025 in Oklahoma City. Chapter president, Rachel Karger, and members Marilyn Young and Becky Stone represented Alpha Iota. Marilyn Young filled the office of parliamentarian during the general sessions and business meeting. The Alpha Iota Chapter received recognition for participating in the World Fellowship, Chapter Communication and the Supporting Early Career Educators activities. They received the Annie Award and the Gold Chapter Excellence Award. Adrianne DeKlotz and Linda Newby were recognized for ten years of membership. Marilyn Young was the Chapter Star. Aubri Murray from Chandler Junior High placed second in the state seventh grade essay competition. The topic of the essay was “Small But Mighty”. Alpha Iota’s silent auction basket was filled with “Made in Oklahoma” items.
