Carter named CFO of Central OK Habitat

Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity recently announced it promoted Reagan Carter, CPA, to chief financial officer. Carter, who currently lives in Choctaw, is originally from Meeker, Oklahoma.

In a press release, Habitat said Carter previously served as their controller from February 2018. In her new position, she will manage staff, financial statements, budgets and audits. She serves on the board for the Oklahoma City chapter of the Oklahoma Society of CPAs.

Carter said her love of numbers and technology began when she was 16, attending one of her father’s Canadian Valley Electric Cooperative board meetings.

“My Dad was CVEC board president,” Carter said. “During the meeting, I was introduced to an accounting firm partner namedCarlosJohnson.He presented an audit report and I became interested in accounting as a career.”

It was working on reversemortgageswiththe Department of Housing and Urban Development that pushed her interest in Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity.

Central Oklahoma Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit, ecumenical Christianhousingministry. Since 1990, it has built 1,097 houses for limitedincome individuals and families in the central Oklahoma area.
