The Chandler School Board approved the 2026 Annual School Board Election Resolution at its regular meeting on Oct. 13.
This was for Seat 1, which was up for the full term, according to Superintendent Scott Baade, who was Doug Bridge. The Board also approved the high school band’s request for an out-of-state trip to Nashville, Tennessee, which will take place from May 20 to 24 in 2026.
Baade said the Board entered executive session to discuss the hiring of a new cafeteria worker. They later approved the hiring of Rita Ballard. In the consent agenda, the Board accepted the resignation of cafeteria worker Courtney Clark, as well as that of Lexi Smith, who was a paraprofessional.
Other items that were approved include a Memorandum of Understanding with the Youth and Family Resource Center and a partnership with Calm Waters, Baade said, along with a list of books from Park Road as surplus.
