SPAR-Saving Pets at Risk, a 501c3 charitable organization, recently received a generous donation from the Dale 4-H Club. This donation of supplies for the care of SPAR dogs will be used for the rescues taken in from the tri-county area.
According to the Dale 4-H Club volunteer leader, Christina Collins, Dale 4-H Club participates in activities involving citizenship, leadership, livestock, shooting sports, public speaking and much more.
The organization is made up of students from age 8 to 18, with the younger members called Cloverbuds. Ms. Collins stated that there were 27 Dale 4-Hers that made up the meeting that resulted in the donation of many items needed for the care of the abandoned, sick and injured dogs that are taken into the SPAR program.
The 4-H program is dedicated to helping the youth of today become the leaders of tomorrow. The students who participated in the Dale 4-H Club have demonstrated the 4-H mission statement by performing vital assistance to a program that assists the community.
