Meeker FFA students had a great time volunteering at the Meeker Roundup Club arena Saturday morning. This was to help with efforts at the Horse Camp hosted by Mammoth Baptist Church.
The 4th annual Horse Camp that attracted over 60 participants ages 5-13 from all over Central Oklahoma despite the cloudy skies was a huge success. There were many activities that were available throughout the morning. The campers were able to experience riding horses, a bounce house, dummy roping, and yard games.
Meeker FFA members assisted with registration and leading groups of students to each station. For Analie Staude and Jett Newport it was their first time to volunteer with the chapter. Next year will be there first year to be able to enroll in FFA along with their 8th grade class – and they are excited!
Analie Staude stated, “I had a great time at the Mammoth Horse Camp. Seeing kids’ faces light up from the whole experience really made my day!” Members in attendance were: Mary Baker, Stevie Buoy, Devyn Frazier, Beau Newport, Jett Newport, Analie Staude, Kaydence Staude, Brinkleigh Stinger, and Baylee Weeks.
