Meeker High School has released its valedictorians and salutatorian for the 2023 graduating class.
The valedictorians are Ashley Adams, Levi Wynn and Brittany McDoulett. The salutatorian is Devin Sligar.
Ashley Adams
Ashley, the daughter of Hannah Forsythe, Ryan Adams, Sally Gill, and Kevin Vinson has attended Meeker schools since her sophomore year.
She has been active in Future Farmers of America, Health Occupations Students of America, National Honors Society, National Technical Honors Society, Oklahoma Girls State, and was the football manager.
Ashley has also received Health Issues Exam Certificate, Outstanding Student for English 3, an Academic letter jacket, 2nd place in community Emergency Response Team Skills, certified in CPR, and certified nursing assistant.
Ashley has also been involved in the community by volunteering at a Scottish festival for two consecutive years and has participated in numerous community service projects through National Honors Society and Health Occupations Students of America such as a drive for a local nursing home in need of basic necessities.
She is currently employed at Schlotzsky’s.
After high school graduation, Ashley plans to go to college for her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree to become a registered nurse.
Levi Wynn
Levi, the son of Lanette Wynn, has attended Meeker schools since his freshman year. He has been active in drama club, speech and debate, National Honors Society, FISH club, and student council. Levi has received outstanding students awards for computer applications, physical science, algebra 1, world geography, career exploration, environmental science, algebra 2, and an academic letter jacket.
After high school graduation, Levi plans to attend Oklahoma Baptist University to get a degree.
Brittany McDoulett
Brittany, the daughter of Robert and Lisa McDoulett, has attended Meeker schools since 2nd grade.
She has been active in National Honors Society as secretary, Student Council as secretary, FISH club, and Bancfirst Bank Board. Brittany has received an academic letter jacket, Oklahoma high school honor society, Science Technology Engineering and Math award, Outstanding Student Awards in U.S. History, Pre-Calculus, Advanced Placement Language and composition, Art 3, Algebra 2, Multicultural Studies, World History, Honors Biology, and English 2.
She has also been involved in the community by visiting Meeker nursing home residents, serving on GoStudents Lawton mission trip, leading vacation bible school, helping in the nursery, and running sound and video at her church.
She has also volunteered at Salvation Army thrift store and soup kitchen. She is a member of Shawnee square 8’s square dance club. Brittany is employed as a custodian for Too Clean Sisters. Her plans after high school are “If it is the Lord’s will, we will live and do this or that.”
Devin Sligar
Devin, the son of Shari and Wayne Sligar has attended Meeker schools since Kindergarten maintaining a 3.86 GPA. He has been active in National Honors Society, BancFirst board member, FISH club, basketball, band, baseball, student council, seaborn crew, and is a Senior class officer.
Devin has received first place drumline at the state fair, Superior rating at marching and concert band, superintendents honor roll, and second place drumline at the state fair twice. His community involvement includes Aydelotte Baptist and Meeker Assembly of God member, Assembly leadership, and 911 memorial.
Devin is employed at Camp Cargill and after high school graduation he plans to attend Oklahoma Baptist University.
